Communications Plan

For those who are unfamiliar with Canada’s true history, it is crucial to reach out to them and inform them about the community archives. These archives collect historical information that the mainstream media often fails to portray or just neglects, bringing light on important issues that have been present for years but are rarely discussed. The key factor in bringing people together is to help them learn about Canadian history and understand the importance of every person around us. This blog campaign aims to enhance people’s personal experiences beyond paid media offers, allowing them to better relate to a personal touch. The blog campaign will consist of a twelve-part series discussing the changes happening in the archive’s findings, the new updates, and the successful stories of the archives. The goal of these blogs is to encourage people to find their place in society and also share their thoughts with the community archives.

Unarchived is not only for the immigrant or LGBTQ community people or First Nation, it is a story for every Canadian to know and learn about these stories and mainly Canadian history. It is a story for people who think they don’t belong to society or for people who think they are unseen or unheard by society. As human beings, we need to be a part of society. So these blogs will help people who are struggling to be a part of society. People from different ages, different cultures, and different races can relate to the blogs.

As everything around the world is moving towards digitalization, it is considered the best option to reach out to more people. With just one click people from around the world can have access to information through the internet and digital media—Unarchive’s objective is to inform strategies for engagement and collaboration. Media analysis will research to gather the information and the cultural value and put that in the blog. It is not media analysis’s job to decide which story should stay or to publish, it is media analysis’s job to hold the truth in front of the world.

But there is so much information out there without any kind of proof to back those data up, so these blogs will provide the information referencing their personal experience with proof which will help people to know the accuracy of the data. By incorporating personal experiences and providing evidence, these blogs aim to bridge the gap between mere information and credible knowledge.
